Greenwich Park bandstand, June 14th 2009:

A sunny afternoon saw Bacchus travelling up to town for a Royal Park concert.

Great fun was had by all, once we'd all found somewhere to park...

The bandstand is situated right in the heart of Greenwich Park,

perfect for a lazy afternoon.

The band, of course, took this concert extremely seriously...

... took great care to pay attention at all times...

... and at times of reed failure appeared to resort to singing the higher notes.

But then the band buckled down to some hard work, including an unforgettable rendition
of 'Happy Birthday' in some key or other,

with Bryn firmly in control, as ever.
